From 1984- 87 I had a solid apprenticeship as an orthopedic shoemaker, followed by some years of employment. In 1993 I took my master´s degree and started to run my own craftsshop.
Three years later the first shoe- replicas of the 13. c AD were going to be developed. Soon my work spread out to the Late Middleages, the Renaissance and Baroque Times.
Since 2018 Stefan Schneidewind (www.masswerk-schuhe.de) took over this subject and I started with replicas for roman shoes and those for the Dark Ages.
Prospectively I intend to offer contemporary shoes made of vegetable tanned leather in handsewn quality.
